The Copper Marran Hybrid also known as the Cuivrée , is a carefully developed hybrid created by crossing Marans Noir Cuivrée with Rhode Island Red. This attractive hen is bred for both productivity and appearance, producing around 240–260 beautiful medium-sized brown eggs each year with excellent shell strength. She is easily recognised by her rich flame-copper chest and neck feathers, often complemented by lightly feathered legs — a clear sign of her genuine Maran heritage. A hardy and reliable layer, the Maran Cuivrée makes a fantastic addition to any laying flock.
